1. Ingredients

For the Ribs:

  • 1.5–2kg Tender Gourmet Butchery Pork Ribs
  • 2 teaspoons wattleseed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper

For the Sticky Honey BBQ Glaze:

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon wattleseed

Follow these simple steps to create sweet, sticky ribs with a smoky wattleseed kick.

Prep the Ribs:

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if needed.
  • Pat dry and rub with wattleseed, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 1 hour or overnight.

Slow Cook in the Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 150°C.
  • Wrap ribs in foil and place on a baking tray. Bake for 2–2.5 hours until tender

Make the Glaze:

  • Combine BBQ sauce, honey, vinegar, paprika, and wattleseed in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, until thickened.

Glaze & Finish:

  • Unwrap ribs, brush generously with the sticky glaze.
  • Grill or bake at 220°C for 10–15 minutes, brushing once more midway.

Rest & Serve:

  • Rest for 5 minutes, slice between the bones, and serve hot with slaw or grilled corn.
