1. Ingredients

You don’t need much to create something incredible – just a handful of fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- 2 Tender Gourmet Butchery Chicken Breasts
- 1 teaspoon lemon myrtle powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Finger Lime Salsa:
- 2 finger limes, pulp extracted
- ½ red onion, finely diced
- 1 small cucumber, diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Juice of ½ a lime
2. Instructions

Let’s get cooking! Follow these simple steps to create perfectly grilled chicken breast with a fresh citrus salsa.
- Brown the chicken breasts (optional): If desired, brown the chicken breasts in a skillet over medium-high heat for a few minutes on each side. This will give the chicken a bit of extra flavour.
- Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker: Place the browned chicken breasts (or unbrowned) in the slow cooker.
- Add seasonings and liquids: Sprinkle the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Pour the chicken broth, water, and wine (if using) over the chicken.
- Cook on low or high heat: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken is cooked through when it is tender and easily flakes with a fork.
- Serve: Serve the chicken with your favourite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
Cooking Tips:
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after grilling for extra juiciness.
- Swap finger lime for lemon zest if unavailable.
- Serve with charred asparagus or grilled zucchini for a complete meal.
